fell 55-52 to Griswold in a back-and-forth
battle at home.
Alexis Sykora had 17 points 13 rebounds
and Satori Albee scored 14 with 14 rebounds
for the Eagles (3-2, 7-7), who took control

Outlaw grapplers shine at Spokane; Border Battle looms

With both Wallowa and Joseph
grapplers on bye, only the Enter-
prise wrestling team was in action
over the weekend. The Outlaws
traveled to Spokane for the North-
west Christian Invite. Enterprise
placed ninth among the 19 teams
that competed.
Coach Troy Farwell’s “smalls”
made a good showing. Shane Lund
captured the title at 106 lbs., Cole
Farwell placed second at 113 lbs.
and Clayne Miller and Evan Johnson
vied for the third and fourth places at
120 lbs., with Miller prevailing.
“It was kind of fun to be away
from the teams that we see most ev-
ery weekend and see some different
competition,” Farwell said.
All three of the county’s teams
will meet at Wallowa on Jan. 20 for
the Border Battle tournament that
features competition with Imbler, El-
gin and Union from Union County.
It’s a normal team competition, not
a county competition, as the name
suggests.
Echo 55, Wallowa 12: The Cou-
gars kept it close for a quarter but
couldn’t keep pace from there in an
Old Oregon League game Saturday
at Wallowa. Rylee Goller and Beth
Johnston led the Cougars (0-5, 1-13)
with three points each. Wallowa
hosts Powder Valley (3-2, 8-7) on
Friday and Nixyaawii (5-0, 15-1) on
Saturday.
