Wide eyes and low whistles punctuated many of the com- ments from admirers of classic cars with lots of chrome. At least 113 cars were registered and participated in the event, ac- cording to Doug Crow, owner/ manager of Main Street Auto, which co-sponsored the show with the Elks Lodge. Crow said the event had fewer entries this year, which he attributed to the ¿res raging throughout the state. “There wasn’t anyone who didn’t drive in here without saying they traveled through a smoke, a ¿re or potential road closure to get here,” Crow said. He added that he appreciated the support from participants, judg- es, volunteers and the communi- ty in making the show a success. The judging staff included eight people as opposed to last year’s three judges. “We worked those judges half to death; this year we split it up better,” Crow said.
