No one knows the circumstances of her death. Mr. Donaldson was out of the house and did not return un- til after 1 o’clock. When he en- tered the house he saw his wife O\LQJRQWKHNLWFKHQÀRRUWKHLU four-year-old boy crying over his mother. Mrs. Donaldson was dead, and life had been extinct, apparently, for upwards of two hours. Independence Day will be observed generally next Mon- day, July 5. At Wallowa Lake Park there will be an amusement program beginning on Saturday and continuing through to Mon- day night.
