The City of Enterprise, Oregon, invites Bids for the construc-
tion of Water System Improvements - 2015. The Work for
this Contract will consist of improvements to the existing dis-
tribution system, upgrades to an existing well pump station,
and erection of a new welded steel reservoir, and may in-
clude rehabilitation of an existing belowground concrete
reservoir. The Base Bid Work includes installation of approxi-
mately 27,500 lineal feet (LF) of 6-inch to 12-inch water line;
2,000 LF of water service lines; replacement of approximately
53 existing fire hydrants; installation of approximately 44 new
fire hydrants; installation of four new pressure control valve
stations; improvements to the existing well pump station
(Well No. 1), including upgrades to electrical, controls, and in-
strumentation; new standby generator and ATS; and a new
425,000-gallon welded steel reservoir (Reservoir No. 2),
along with other miscellaneous distribution system improve-
ments. The Work shall include all of these items, together
with other work items required to provide a fully completed
project as shown on the Drawings and as specified. Five Ad-
ditive Alternatives have also been identified that may be
awarded at the option of the Owner, including approximately
57 additional new fire hydrant installations, rehabilitation and
interior coating of an existing 600,000-gallon belowground
concrete reservoir (Reservoir No. 1), approximately 2,000 LF
of 8-inch water line and fire hydrant fittings.
Sealed Bids for the described Project will be received by the
City of Enterprise, at the City Hall, 108 N.E. First Street, En-
terprise, Oregon 97828, until 2:00 p.m., local time, May 21,
2015, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened
and read.
The Contractor will be subject to the Davis-Bacon Act
(40USC276a) and the applicable provisions of ORS
279C.800 through ORS 279C.870 (the Oregon Prevailing
Wage Law).
This Project is being funded in part with a financial award
from the Safe Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund Program
administered by the Oregon Business Development Depart-
ment - Infrastructure Finance Authority, and the City of Enter-
prise.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruc-
tions to Bidders.
