dogs entered in the Eagle
Cap Extreme sled dog race.
Vet checks start at approxi-
mately 9 a.m. on Main Street
in Joseph; and at 1 p.m. on
Main Street in Enterprise.
Public is welcome to come
and meet the dogs.
The Wallowa County
Stockgrowers are hosting
their 7th annual Winter Ed-
ucation Day and Foundation
Scholarship Dinner-Auction
at Cloverleaf Hall in Enter-
prise. Everyone is invited to
attend. Matt Howard, Ore-
gon Department of Forestry
will discuss first response to
wildland fires at 1p.m., and
local veterinarians will talk
about calf health from 2 to
4 p.m. Doors open for the
scholarship silent auction at
5:30 p.m., and tri-tip dinner
followed by dessert auction
at 6 p.m. Proceeds go to-
wards college scholarships
for Wallowa County youth.
Prices to attend are 12 and
older, $20; 6 to 11 years old,
$10; and 5 and under is free.

nity Ice Rink opened for
the season Jan. 15. The
rink offers an open skate
seven days per week, 9
a.m. – 9 p.m. and also of-
fers hockey and broom-
ball. The rink is located
at Enterprise City Park at
the corner of Depot and
Greenwood Streets.
The rink does not offer
skate rentals this year, but
skate sharpening is avail-
able at Wild Carrot, 114 W.
