Has Answers fo
Yule Problems
The Deschutes county library
has the answers to many of the
puzzling questions ajid problems
that come up during the Christ'

"Books can offer much practical
help on all aspects of Christmas,"
the librarian said. The library has

oilier related topics.
A special shelf of holiday mater

The story behind the ce!ebrat:on

as '"The American Christmas,'
"All About Christmas," "1,001
Christmas Facts and Fancies.'
and "The Christmas Book." Songs,
poetry and stories are found ir.
"The Home Book of Christmas"
and "Let's Celebrate Christ mis."
Many of the books cover aspects
ranging from the religious mean

Seek U. S. Aid
had been earlier believed.
At Salem the party learned that
under Title IV of Public Law No,
185, no fixed maximum need apply
to the school district s needs The
school board then based its appli
cation for $235,000 on the plans for
a building which might eventually
grow to 600-pupil size. Preliminary
estimates put the cost of such a
structure at $440,000.
Actual bonding capacity of the
district has been set at $l'O4,0Q0.
If federal aid amounts to $235,000,
and patrons of the district approve
a bond issue of $204,000, a total of
$-139,000 would be available.
