Nettie iljacquot, 14-15 Fresno. f l Water District Plans Election Special to The Bulletin MADRAS Two members of th Deschutes Valley Water dis trict board of directors will be elected and voters will decide on inclusion of five parcels of land within district boundaries during the annual district election, Dec. 5, according to Ward MacRostie, manager. The election will be' from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the theater building. Madras airbase, and any register- ! ed county voter residing within the limits of the district may ballot. Two petitions have so far been received. They are from Don Leh man, Culver, and Lester Lydy, Agency Plnins, filing, respectively, for the four and five year terms. The terms of Leo Bicart and Loren Earnest are expiring. The parcels of land total about 457 acres and are located adjacert to current boundaries west of Juniper butte. Directors with unexpired terms to fill are Dwight Macy, chair man; Kenneth Hams, secretary; and F. J. Carpenter, treasurer. Silkworth has returned to her home in Bend. She made the four-month tour of England and Europe with Mrs. Bessie Croft, of Oswego. Also on the tour, and expected to return to their home here soon, were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cook. Mrs. Silkworth spent two months in England and a week in Scotland, where she attended the far-famed music festival in Edinburgh. On the continent, Mrs. Silkworth vis ited France, Belgium, Germany, Amsterdam, Austria and Italy. In Germany, she made a boat trip up the- Rhine river. A week was spent in Heidelberg. The tour included a side trip to Switzerland ind the Alps. Mrs. Silkworth made the trip to and from Europe on the Empress of France, landing at Montreal, where she spent a week visiting friends. The fines were levied for stopping at the sceno ot a fire. In other action, city court show ed only two traffic fines and one generally 1 charge tor intoxication. At the last session, there were eight tables of bridge, with players from prine ville, Redmond and Bend. In the east-west competition, top prizes were won by Mi's.
