Communists made one of Iheir
biggest mistake when they dared
to battle publicly with this is
land nation s influential Buddhist
monks.

are 5,071.300 Sinhalese and only
908,700 Tamils.

which was called by the Com
munists and leftists to pass n res
olution demanding that Tamil also
be made a state language.

went on a destructive rampage and

Tamils.

viously supported the Reds, ac
tively turned against the Commu
nists. Only heavy police guards and a

crowds, angered by the attacks on

most famous movie-makers, today
revealed why he dropped out of
