Mrs. Nelson Leland was hostess
to Ihe Bend chapter of Daug'lrtoi's
of the American Revolution, Tues
day evening ait her home.
Mrs. Craig Coyner gave a report
on national defense, and plans
were made for a visit to the Lake
viow chapter in the near future.
It w s reported that a box of,
clothing is ready to be sent, to
the Celllo Indians. This is done
twice a year.
The next meeting will be the
Christmas party. Dec. 2 at the
home of Mrs. Frank Ruble. Mrs.
Robert Lyons will narrate Dickens'
'Christmas Carol and there wilt
be a gift exchange.
After the business meeting Tues-i
day evening, the group gathered
around a table in Mrs. Leland's
attractive kitchen, for refresh
ments.

performed at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct.
in the First Evangelical Free
church by Rev. Fred Griesinger.

The bride wore a gown of satin
and lace, with sequin and pearl
studded mandarin collar and tap
ered sleeves on the bodice, and a
double tulle skirt billowing over a
satin skirt extending to cathedral
length train. Her fingertip veil of
rylon tulle illusion was held In
place by a tiny cap of lace and
pearls and she earned roses and
;tephnnotis centered with a white

maternal grandmother's wedding

Events Planned
By Theta Rho
A district cjnvention next week
end and two December events are
on the agenda for members of
the Theta Rho girls' dub.
The convention will be held Sat
urday, Nov. 12. in Prineville. In
itiation will be held at that time
for a group of local girSs.
A rush party will be held Dec.
7, and the Christmas party will be
Dec. 21. The vice-president's team,
losers in a membership contest,
will serve on committees for both
events.
Plans for the parties and con
vention were discussed at the
neeting Wednesday evening at the
100F hall, with Patsy Wright,
resident, in charge. Announce
ment was made that the girls have
begun a new project making
cookies for volunteer , workers at
he Bend Filter Center.
