The gift of light has been the most wonderful boon handed to man';
by his Creator. It is with the aid of light that he can thrdw off feiir'iabd ..'
all the other things that shackle him and keep! him from attaining his
rightful place in the scheme of creation. No wonder then that the light- .
house is a symbol of hope of good. The terrors of disuster at sea are
banished for the mariner when the beam of light comes over the dark
waters. , '
Another symbol of light is the church where regular attendance ;
sheds light on many perplexing and heart-rending problems. It stands as '
a lighthouse in the darluiess of uncertainty and doubt.
