Prothro -was singing the pn.isrb of

Instead ot being happy with his
initial Orange win, Protho was
keenly dinappointed. "It wan the
poorest performance I've ever seen
by any team I've associated with,"
drawled Prothro, adding, "w
slunk up the joint."
"We were prelly fortunate on in
juries," Prolhro said, but added
"we didn't hit hard enough to get

activity to studying by any means.
He received the coveted award or.
the basis of his overall record In
eluding athletics and academic
achievement. He played four years
of football and tied with Al Tarpen

player on Ihe team" by a vote of
his Uiimmatcs last year.
Besides studying and playing
football, Hamby was also busy
working his way througu serwu,,
since he has a wife und young son
to support.
Hamby received an assistant
ship in chemistry at Oregon Slate
college, where he hud intended to
instruct undergraduates in labor

to go on with this work when v

with any of the belt-holders from

Stengel's worries, chiefly about

in their first practice since Satur

probably will see action against
Arizona.
