Mrs. Ivances S. Bera of Los
Anjieles, a flying instructor, and
her sister, Kdna Bower of Long
Beach, won the $S00 first prize
money for the best time in the
ljon Beach to Bames-Westfield
Airport ' here.
The winning plane was a Cessna
180, The handicap is figured on
"par speed," or the air speed at
75 per cent of maximum horse
lower. The $500 second prize went to
Alice Roberts of Phoenix, and her
co-pilot, Iris Crichell of Palos
Verdes Estates, Calif., flying a
Beechcraft Bonanza.
In third place for WOO on cor
rected time was a Bellanca Cruis

Waterford. Conn., and co-pilot
field, Mass.
Fourth place and $200 went to
Margaret Calloway of Fort Worth,
Tex., and co-pilot Lindy Boyes of
Piedmont, Calif., flying a Cess
Clarissa H. Holcomb, ol West
na. In ninth place was Shirley B.
Froyd, Inglewood, C;:Iif., and co
pilot Joyce Agree, Inglewood.

In tenth was Doris Seacret,
Elko, Nev., and co-pilot Helen Mc
intosh, Sunland, Calif., Cessna
