It is very doubtful, the report continues, that vehicles will be able to get to the Taylor llui'ti and Waldo lake areas until after the holiday. There are plenty of olhor places In fish, however, and all the re port. are Kood this week. Wickiup has improved since last work. Good catches of both Ger man brown and rainlxjw have hern reported. Three Creek lake is still fair to good for rainbow and eastern brook, hut the last 200 feet of the road into the lake is b'oeked with snow. On Thursday boats were meadows. You siill have to walk into Todd lake, though at last report you can drive as far as Todd lake meadow. The Deschutes at Maupin has been good on worms anu eggs for 10-inch rainbow. Alnw Bend, (he fishing is sporadic. Some good catches are brought in and some fishermen get nothing, r'ish must be even fussier than people. The fly-fishing area of the Des chutes above Cow camp has been producing fair to good catches. I In all of the fly-fishing areas. while hucKlai), spruce fly, caddis nd lillle brown flies have all caught fisfi. Of Ihe lot. the white bucklad and Ihe spruce fly caught Ihe most fish. Salmon fishing on the coast is still grHid. Mooching in the mouth of Ynquinn bay has been fair to excellent for ehinook, says Ihe game commission. Winchester bay is good, loo, with more silvers and fewer chinooks being caught.
