Hunting on the -island is as fab

paid for them.
Even more curious is that there
were no native animals on the Js
land. The present bumper crons
have grown from stocks originally
imported. To top it off, he says
all the animals there now are
larger than their ancestors.
Why? Maybe "vitamin accumu
lation" because for so many years
there was no game to live off the
country.

this one a five-hitter by Holly

The Rainiers opened up fast by
scoring all their four inns in the
first inning. The big poke of the
frame was Ait SehuKz's sixth

Vei-ble and Bill Glynn aboard.
Bobby Balcena singled, stole sec

Joe Ginsberg for the run that was
to become the clincher.

had relieved starter John Oldham
in the- fifth, wouldn't allow any
more.
The Parses, who have grimly
watched a .six-game lead vanish in
the last fortnight, were limited to
four hits by the Solons' mound
staff. Ed Cereghino replaced start

pitched hitless ball for the Sacs
the rest of the way.
Sacramento tallied 4 hive times
