Unexplained riveting, or possibly

Thomas K. Dewey, the former
governor of New York, was nn
overnight guest at the White House
this week. He was reminiscing
with old friends about his curly
law career.
"Why, when I ramp to the bar

He slopped suddenly and a lixik
of horror came over his face.
"Gosh almighty," Dewey ex
claimed. "Am I old!"
To be precise, Dewey Is .r2 years
old and embarking on what prom
ises to be an exceedingly lueru
.tlve privute law practice in New
York.

Mr. Eisenhower's next trip of
any duration probably will he to
Augusta in April. The 1955 Masters
Tournament at the Augusta Nation
al Coif Club is scheduled to end
Sunday, April 10. The chief execu
tive probably will go to Augusta
either April 11 or VI.
The President Is quite the con
servationist as he approaches the
problem of preserving his property
at Gettysburg. Pa.
Mr. Eisenhower, up at the farm
last weekend, said that before he
got hold of the property, it was
ill lowed to run down. Consequently
he faces a jolt of terracing and
soil rebuilding.
I Ie seemed part ieularly con

creek that runs through his aere-
He also plans major improve
ments in bis big barn. The roof
has holes caused by the shotguns
of country boys who in the past
sneaked into the loft and fired at
pigeons roosting there.
The house, itself, is virtually
complete except for laying some
flooring downstairs and another
coat of paint on some of the inter
ior walls. The President noted with
satisfaction last weekend that bis
furnace is connected nnd working
admirably.-

The hand you see here is about to turn the ignition
key in a new 1955 Cadillac.
It is the hand of a man who has never driven a
Cadillac before but who finally decided to see for
himself if all the wonderful things he's heard about
the car are true.
Well, he's about to make an important discovery!
He's about to learn that, in 1955, Cadillac actually
surpasses its own great reputation!
He'll sense it the instant he makes the turn of the
key and hears the deep, rich, eager answer of that
250-horsepowcr Cadillac engine.
He'll sense it again when he touches his foot to
the accelerator and brings that dynamic engine into
action. It will set him instantly in motion and will
carrv him forward with a surge of power that is a
revelation all in itself.
And then out on the open road the full proof
of Cadillac's greatness will begin to unfold itself!
He'll discover it's incredible ease of steering and
