chaperon a group of 4-H summer
school students. Miss Nancy Pet
erson is attending the summer
session. Mrs. Peterson Was a Fri
day business visitor in Redmond.
Miss Marie Schulke of Corvallis
is visiting her sister. Miss Anne
Schulke.
Miss Margaret Conklin is. em
ployed at the Pine Tavern In Bend
thin summer. Margaret will be a
junior at Willamette university
next fall. ',
Miss Shirley Hartford,. a form
er Redmond high school student.
Is working at the Pine tavern in
Bend. Miss Hartford is planning
ot attend Lewis and Clark college
in the fall. :
Mr. and Mrs. Syd Uoyd of Port-
land, Ore., have moved to the
Knights of Pythias' Home in Van
couver, Wash. They were former
residents of Redmond. ' A t the'
time they lived here, Lloyd was
associated' with the Farmers'
hardware.' '

Community Westminister Guild
met for a picnic at the home of
Mrs. Lloyd Baker Friday after
noon. Mrs. Bob Williams was
complimented at a stork shower
as a special feature of the day.
No business session was held. The
guild will adjourn until fall, u .
Miss Sharon Moran will be em
ployed at her father's hardware
store during the summer. Sharon
will be a senior at Redmond Uni
on high school next fall.
Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Musick, and
daughters, Ruth and Carol, were
Wednesday evening guests of Mr.
and Mi's. Lloyd Busset and family.
During the evening Carol, and
Vera Lou Busset called on Mr.
and Mrs. Art Horsell and the

his death off the 32S ft., McCol
lough bridge across Coos bay
channel, state police reported. -
Officers at Coquille said Cen
ters jumped about 4 p.m. yester
day and his body was recovered
by the coast guard less than an
hour later 100 yards from the
Southern Pacific railroad bridge
over the, channel, ,
