Speake are the parents of a 9 pound, 3 ounce girl, born at the Jones hospital in Hillsboro, Marcli 24. Mrs. Speake and baby are al home in northwest Redmond, af ter having spent a few weeks; with her parents in Forest Grove. The Speakes have two other chil dren, a boy, three years old and a girl a year and a half. They live at the Ditterline place. Mr. and Mrs. Verne Mallory and children, Darrell and La Verne were Easter Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Mai lory's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ar thur Holt. Arthur Holt Jr. also was a guest for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Eason and daughter were Easter Sunday din ner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Eason. Alva Shofstall was unable to drive the school bus this week because of a severe attack of the flu. Chick Peden began driving bus Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Flock and sons of Powell Butte were callers Monday afternoon at the D. L. Penhollow home. D. L. Penhollow visited Mon day afternoon in Prineville at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Boegli. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Phillips of Salem were visitors Monday eve ning at the D. L. Penhollow home. Hershal Read of Culver was a visitor Monday evening at the E. E. Burgess home. C. Z. Peden, Bert Moore, E. E. Burgess and D. L. Penhollow de horned their cattle Saturday. Dick Lynds of Pleasant Valley assisted at the Burgess ranch. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Burgess were Easter Sunday dinner guests at the J. P. Read home. Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Penhollow and sons, Jim and Terry, attend ed the annual Easter potluck din .ner In the Culver Odd Fellows hall Sunday. Penhollow brought the afternoon Easter message at the Culver Christian church af ter the dinner hour. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Shanks at tended services at the Powell Butte church Sunday and were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Hargan and Mr. and Mrs. George Boak. . Mr. and Mrs.' Vincent Galligh'er of Redmond were visitors Friday at the Penhollow home. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schauer of Myrtle Creek arrived Saturday evening, to spend the week end I with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. j Judd Bourland. Mr. and Mrs. Del Davls-of Turn-! alo called Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Davis. Geo. Killingbeck und daughter, Ruth Killingbeck, of Metolius, were Sunday dinner' guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cresse. The Cresses are living on the Davis place. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bourland and grandson, Donnie Limlhorst, of Dufur, were overnight guests Monday at the Judd Bourland home. Sam Draly of Redmond, visited one day last week at the Wagon Trail rancn in La I'ine with Regis T. do Maleiseye. Easter Party Held At Six Corners Six Corners. April 13 (Special) An Easter party was held al the Rock school, with games en joyed and an egg hunt staged for edification of the children. Potluck lunch was served to 30 persons in attendance. Mrs. Fred Perrly took her granddaughter. Sharon, home to Portland recently. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams and family spent Easter in Eugene. Mrs. George Sage, who has been a patient at Si. Charles hos pital, recently underwent surgery there. Jim and Donna Letson visited in Bend Sunday with their grand mother, Mrs. G. Campbell. The Six Corners union will meet Friday with Mrs. Raymond Marchand. Mrs. Kill Mandish called on Mrs. Earl Dexter Tuesday. David Krultzer has returned to his home at Eureka, Calif. David had been staying at the Bill Man dish home. Mrs. Oren Jones recently visit ed Mrs. Augusta Foley who is a patient at St. Charles hospital in Bend. Mrs.. Foley was a resident of North Redmond some years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Harper of Portland .are visiting Mrs. Har- this week with her brother In Shevlin. Pete Mims was in a car wreck Friday night but escaped with minor Injuries. Preszler and Mrs. Jerry Preszter of Powell Butte were visitors at the extension club Tuesday at the home of Mrs C. K. Ferguson. . Helen Banta was a dinner guest at the Oren Jones home Saturday. . Edgar Duncan went to Port land Sunday and brought back his son, Glcndon, Who had been a patient at a hospital all winter. Glcndon is quite happy to be home. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ferguson and Aileen were Sunday evening callers at the C. K. Ferguson home. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jones and daughter, Carol Ann, were over-night guests at the Oren Jones home Saturday. The Ray mond Jones and Oren Jones were Joined at the Warm Springs root festival Sunday by Dr. and Mrs. C. M. Dale and son, Jimmie; Muriel Nance and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dale of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dale spent the Easter vacation with their parents, Dr. and Mrs. Dale and Mr. and Mrs. Oren Jones. Mrs. Fred MacDonald and their three children were ill with bad colds all last week. Mrs. Oren Jones assisted at the MacDonald home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dean and dauehter. Betty, and son.
