Varied Subjects Theme Talks Of Club Members Talks on six timely subjects were featured at the regular meeting of the Bend Toastmis tress club, Monday evening at the Pilot Butte inn. Andrews, local contest winner, will represent the Bend club. 9 Variety Offered At Card Party Pinochle and canasta, as well as bridge, will be played at the traditional taster Monday lunch eon sponsored by the Trinity Episcopal Build. Committees in charge requested that those who plan to play pinochle make up their tables in advance. As In past years, there will be a special "business women's table," for those who are not able to remain for the card piny. This table will be served promptly at 1 o'clock. The party, marking the end of Lent, is anticipated as a highlight of the spring social season. Women's Golf chili will meet Wednesday, April 12, for a 1 o'clock bridge luncheon at the country club. He received his basic training at Lachland air base In Texas and then transferred to Chanute, where he studied jet propulsion and became a "jet and props" spe cialist and instructor.
