Junior high and high school misses thrill to the subdued so phistication of multi-pleated skirt detailing, side-influencing panels and pockets running rampant over clever dresses and smart suits. Sweater fans will have the op , portunity to indulge their whims when they see the extensive sweater collections in dreamier-than-ever colors and flattering blouse-type and cardigan styling. Playclothes are imaginative and dramatize ouch classic cottons as denims and chambrays into new color excitement. Square dance fashions for the "do-sido'ers" feature to-thean-kle skirts in gay printed or plaid cottons . . . with demure off-the-shoulder blouses and multi-ruf fled petticoats. Other young and gay fashions for the young teens are pattern ed after the Italian peasant dress with brilliant sash trims and low cut necklines slimming down to a dainty waist. It Is in this group of fashions that full skirts with a swing-about look remain a top favorite. White toppers for the young fry will make their smart ap pearance in the Easter parade. Red coats, too, in fleece chinchil la, suede and covert will show interesting detail as drop shoul ders, shorter cuffed . sleeves, jut ting wing collars and lull oacks in belted and unbelted versions, Jacket and bolero fashions give grown-up touches to suits and dresses. Collars are headline news for the kindergarten and grammar school crowds; cape collars, ber thas, epaulettes and little boy collar trims come Into their own. Consist ing of a two-piece suit, with a pair of contrasting slacks, the outfit can be worn in several dif ferent ways for business or sports.
