Previously 19 , othpr crew members includini? woman steward, were removed and brought here. The Andalucia, a fire in her en gine room, was deliberately beach ed by Capt. George Lemos a week ago. The fire was put out but the vessel began taking water. Under constant pounding by gale driven waves, the 7,000-ton ship began popping rivets last week end. Seven tugs abandoned salvage efforts earlier this week until the 5.000.000 feet of lumber aboard could be transferred to barges en route from Vancouver, B.C., under tow of the Canadian tugs. Island Navigator and Island Com mander. The Canadian tugs arrived last night just as the Andalucia began breaking apart. This morning, the ill-fated vessel finally snapped amidship. The two halves floated off the rockv perch four miles east of Neah Bav. Wash., just in- ; sjde the entrance to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The skeleton crew was removed when -it appeared the Andalucia was about to keel over in 10 fathoms of water or break apart.
