Mr. and Mrs. William Tweedie have moved from their home in Downing, Calif., to Prinevllle. Mr. Tweedie has given up teaching for the present, due to his health. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lnntz and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ilargman have moved lino the new duplex re cently built by them. Kred Landaker is redecorating and remodeling offices in his building on Sixth and C streets, which have been leased by Dr. Smith, dentist, and Mrs. Weldon Horn, who has a dental supply office In Kedmond. Mrs. Betty Brown has taken a position In the Redmond branch of the First National bank. Mrs. Brown was a former employe. Octagon club met at tne .home of Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Band Fri day, October 28; Mrs. Hazel Cate held high score; John Bernmg won the traveling prize, and Mr. and Mrs. William Hughitt held low score. The next meeting will be Friday, November 11, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bern Ing. Future Business Leaders of America held a meeting Wednes day noon and elected Doris Osen ton as queen candidate for. the barn dance Friday night. The group is sponsored by Mrs. Irene Boone. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Adams spent the week end at Malin, visiting Mrs. Adams' parents, Mr. ana Mrs. Zleibek. Mrs. Victor Clark has been en tertaining her mother and a friend from Vancouver the past week. They planned to return to Portland 'iuesaay. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Bessey were Sunday dinner guests of Air. and Mrs. 'i'. H. Moouy. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Becker were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Moody. The Kedmond union high school pep club and drill team have been invited to attend a pre-game dinner at the Pine tavern at Bend Friday nignt. Tne invitation was from the Bend girls' physical edu cation department Mr. anu Mrs. -Bill Adams have moved into their new home. Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Adams spent Sunday in Eugene visiting friends. Mrs. Irene Boone, .Miss Ruby Stephenson, Miss Margaret Hook, Miss Kuby Leonnig ana Miss Vir ginia Berg will spend the week end in Portland. Sophomores at Redmond union high school presented a semi formal Halloween dance in the high school gymnasium Iriday night. Sophomore faculty advis ers are Mrs. Flora Thompson, dean of women, and Leonard Warren, football coach. The hostesses served refresh ments after the ride. Those attending were Calvin Batey, Gordon Kite. Clarence Cook, Durwood Grubh, Jeannette Cook, Donna Taylor, Norma Lis ka, and Anne McKay. After worship service, led by ! the faith and life commission un der the leadership of tilen Macy, the group organized into teams for a Halloween scavenger hunt. The team with Bruce Rogers as Its captain won the hunt. Mrs. Leslie Dickson and daugh ter, Doris, were callers Saturday at the John Bailer home. Gary Holt spent Friday with Mrs. N. W. Enlow. Rolland Gridley, of Sisters, was a Sunday caller at the Owen Brown home. Mrs. Walter Holt and Mrs. Dell Davis were recent callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Parr and daughter, of Klamath Falls, were in Redmond on business this week end. Mrs. Nys has been bn the sick list this week. Linda Lou Wallenburg spent Friday with Mrs. Ray Surface while her parents were at The Dalles. John Bailer was a successful elk hunter. He hunted in the John Day country. Dean Short spent Sunday aft ernoon with Clifford Brown. Mrs. Everett Parr attended the Promoters meeting Friday in Ked mond. Charles Wildon visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Hopper. Mrs. Wilden is visiting friends in California. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Parr and daughter and Mrs. E. M. Hester lee called on Mr. and Mrs. Ev erett Parr this week end. Richard Surface called Sunday morning at the Milfred Wallen burg home. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Garbutt and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Bailer and daughter drove to Warm Springs and the Cove area Sunday afternoon. Redmond Juvenile grange held a Halloween party Oct. 118. After their regular meeting the evening was spent playing games. Costumes of all types were worn by the children and at the close of the party candy was pass ed out by the matron and pie furnished by the grunge women. Next meeting they will hold their election of officers. Kedmond grange H.E.C. mot at the home of Mrs. John Hopper Tuesday with an all-day meeting. Politick dinner was served at noon. Election of officers was held during their meeting as wollows: Chairman, Mrs. John Viegas; vice-chairman, Mrs. B. L. Fleck; secretary. Mrs. August Anderson; treasurer. Twenty friends gathered at the Glenn Ferguson home before and after the dance Saturday night to honor Air. and Mrs. George Fer guson who were here from Mt. Angel. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Greenlee nave returned to their home here, aft er scndtng the summer running the cafe at Wlllowdale. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ferguson gave a Halloween party Sunday evening at their home.
