Mrs. C. W. Goodnight. All growers and market men cite that the central Oregon Net ted Gem harvest is substantially earlier this season than last, and the overall percentage of the crop alreadv under cover reached around 75 per cent when the heavy early freezes occurred. In Prineville potato fields, the har vest had reached close to 95 per cent, and the freeze loss will be negligible. The cold nights will result in substantial nuisance, for the rea son that the potatoes unharvest ed when the cold snaps fell must be held for development of frost injury, and then warehousemen must grade them carefully.
