News Grange Hall, Sept. 7 (Special) Four-H club members attending the Oregon .talc fair this week from tills community are Ann Moore, who is exhibiting her guernsey heifer and will partici pate In the style review on Fri day; Richard Fix and Donald Sorenwn who are on the crop Judging team; Violet Klobas, who is In the Spreckles canning con test; Haley Pi lchard, who is on the crop judging team, a poultry demonstration and is exhibiting )iis guernsey heifer, and Tommy Burton who Is the other member of the poultry demonstration team. Other club members of the community who are exhibiting but not attending the fair are Carole Ann and Gary Turner, Georgio Walker, Arthur Cole, Lee Paul, and Mavis Rowley. Laura Dudley and Mavis are also attend ing the state fair with their win ning demonstration on milk shakes. Club leaders who are fur nishing transportation to the fair are Mrs. R. D. Moore, who is act ing as chaperon for the county group; Mrs. Harold Harbour, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Rowley and Walt er Prichard, who is driving a truck for the livestock. Mrs. Walt er Prichard is taking a group down Thursday. Recent out of town guests at the Lytle Carrington home were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rosburg and son Paul Jr. of Hollywood. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Colp of Oakland, who are visiting at Elk lake, were guests at the Carrington home on Sunday. ,Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ray attend ed the geology club meeting in Eugene Sunday. : Mrs. Al Dumler Visited friends in Redmond Wednesday. Mrs. Homer Brown is recuper ating from a severe attack of the flu. Mrs. Les Kurtz is visiting with friends and relatives in Boise this week. Miss Dorlis Walker was guest of honor at a surprise shower held-at the home of her parents last Wednesday evening. The regular meeting of the Eastern Star juvenile grange will be held at the hall on September 17. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Walters are visiting relatives in Spokane. They left last Friday and expect to be back Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Franks have sold their home in Bend and have purchased a grocery store in Cul ver. They plan to move to the northern town in a short time. The first and second degree team of the Eastern Star grange will not put on their work next Tuesday evening because of ill ness and several members being out of town.
