The executive committee of the union of leather, shoe and rub ber workers, which had scheduled a strike tomorrow in defiance of the non-communist federation of trade unions, notified employers today that the walkout had been "postponed." Only yesterday, the union had announced that the strike would go on as scheduled despite re ports its 8,000 members had voted almost unanimously to remain at work. The union of textile workers notified employers it would meet tonight to "reconsider" its strike order. A union spokesman told newsmen that the walkout had been called off. They were sentenced by Justice Ferdinand Pecora In Bronx su preme court after he had denied "without prejudice". Defense At torney Herbert E. Rosenberg's motion for a new trial on the grounds that Pecora had forced the Jury to convict them by keep ing the jurors up all night. Pecora denied motions to de clare a mistrial on the grounds that the court's questioning of the defendants when on the wit ness stand and Its criticisms of Rosenberg had prejudiced the Jury. Fat Mrs. BecK, z, and her Latin lover, Fernandez, 34, show ed no emotitn. Fernandez replied "No, sir. when as1"! li he had anything to say. Mrs. Beck replied "Nothing, sir" when a.'ked if she had any thing to say. She smiled what appeared to be a "thank-you" when the sentence was com pleted.
