In the water activity, troop compete against each other in swiiuriiiiitf raws, vanou events and tiltiiiR contests from canoes. Activities in camp this year have been enhanced by the ad dition of a new "rope yard', where scouts may compete .aKainst each other in tyinu six different knots. Redmond and 1'riueville have already KQiio through the week's training program. The camp staff is under the leadership of Kenneth I'earnon, camp director, field executive from Hend. On the staff are Del I.autis, Klamath Falls, program director; Mollis Hill, Ashland, uctmtic director; Dillard Shipler. Klamafh Kails: Darrell Palmer, Kedmond, and William Itrandsness, Klnmatji' Falls, members of the program staff, .Members of tin aquatic staff Include Henry ilerbriug, Hend, and Robert Hilton and Nick Long, Klamath Falls. David KAsmusseii, Hend, is camp storekeeper. Camp development is under the direction of Jnhn llerl- bronner, of Klamath Falls. He is assisted by Robert French, Steve Chatfield and David Stockner, all of Klamath Falls, Camp cooks are Mrs. Myrtle Cratton and Mrs. I'ear F.rnst, also of Klamath Falls. Kenneth McAndrews and Richard I.andis of Klamath Falls are dining hall stewards. Activities in vamp include archery, sailing in a l! fool lightning-class sail boat, seamanship practice and troop and council campfire programs. Camp Makualla is located seven miles off the Willamette highway, on picturesque Crescent lake. Diamond peak, one of the scenic wonders of the area, can be seen from camp. At Camp Makualla this week are Hend troops, No. 21. .sponsored by the .Methodist church, and No. (in. sponsored ..v-. C'st&rxit.
