The ILWU is fully organized on the west coast but its power to prevent unloading of Hawaiian ships does not extrnd to the gulf or east coasts. Ixiaded by New Firm Virtually all shipping except emergency relief cargoes has been paralyzed since the ILMU went on strike May 1 to support union demands for higher wages. The Steel Flyei, howevpr. was loaded by a new company, Hawaii Stevedores, Ltd., which was form ed since the strike started. Ray Adelmeyer, president of Hawaii Stevedores, said the Steel Flyer carried 6,000 tons of sugar and l.uijij tons oi general cargo. The vessel's scheduled sailing was kept secret to prevent possi ble violence by pickets of the ILWU. The crew of the Steel Flyer, members of the AFL Seafarers' International union, ran a 20-man ILWU picket line in taxicabs late yesterday afternoon to board their ship. There was no disturb ance. The ship sailed shortly after dark. There was no official an noucement of its destination, but a crew member said the vessel was heading for the Panama canal . THEFT REPORTED Two new hub caps were stolen from the car owned by Golda Laughlin as it stood before her home at 334 Hill, street, she told police Friday. She said she had just purchased them.
