Moose to Attend
Childhood Film
First Showing
"Mooseheart, City of Child
hood" will be shown July 14, 15
and 16 at the Tower theater.

Moose and Women of the Moose
will meet together at the lodge

Bendonian Danes Club
Will Hold Potluck Soon
The Bendonian ' dancing club
will hold a potluck dinner July
14, at the studio at 7 p.m. New
dance steps the Canadian barn
dance, gypsy wine song, Mexican
waltz, dance of the isles, and
Portland phantasy will be intro
duced. .
Members are to bring their own
plate and table service for the
dinner, Mrs. Pearl Lancaster re
quested, i
Golf Guest Day
Well Attended
At Country Club
A total of 125 members and
guests attended the annual guest
day luncheon Friday at the Coun
try club. Mrs. W. A. Grimsley
was chairman.
In the morning, a fine bogie
tournament was held. Mrs. A. C.
Stipe Jr. was winner in the 18
hole group;. Mrs. Rod O'Hearn
in the 9-hole handicap, and Mrs.
Hardie Meyers In the 9-hole
group. Mrs. Wilfred Burgess won
the tournament for guests.
In the bridge play following
the luncheon, Mrs. Ralph Adams
was high; Mrs. R. G. Proby, sec
ond, and Mrs. James M. Healey,
low,
ILLINOIS MAN VISITS HERE
James Donohue, Chicago, is
visiting his brother and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E.
Donohue. Tom Danohue and fam
ily have lived in Bend for the
past three years. He is assistant
manager of Pacific Trailways.

Takes Dons Chase as Bride

In one of the most impressive mony took place at the First Bap-
weddings of the year, Miss Doris
Marlon Chase, daughter or Mr.
and Mrs. Wayne Chase of Red
mond, became the bride Thurs
day evening of Kenneth S. Gregg,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn H.
Gregg of Bend.
The formal double-ring cer&
list church In Bend, with Rev.
D. L. Penhollow hearing the vows.
Music was furnished by the Miss
es Dorothy Simmons and Joan
Galloway. The interior was
banked with delphinium, gladioli,
roses and sweet peas. Pews were
decorated with sntln ribbon and
sweet peas. ,
The bride, who entered on tfie
arm of her father, wore a gown
ot white lace, trimmed with satin
around yoke and skirt. Her fin
gertip veil was caught by a
sweetheart tiara. White orchids
resting on a Bible were in her
hands.
The maid of honor, Mrs. Ben
Burgess, wore lavender organdy
over taffeta, with a yellow sweet
heart bonnet. . Vellow carnations
in colonial stylo formed her bou
quet. Bridesmaids, who were Mm.
Bud Helmholtz and Miss Phyllis
Gregg, wore yellow prgandy over
taffeta, with lavender sweetheart
bonnets. Lavender sweet peas
in colonial style formed their bou
quets. The bride's mother wore sheer
black over taffeta, with dusty
pink gloves and hat. The bride
groom'y mother wore a dress of
navy blue background with pink
flower design. The dusty pink
veil on her navy blue hat, pink
plover, and pink rosebuds were
all of the same shade. A neck-
olece of kolinskv fur completed
her ensemble. Both Mrs. Chase
and Mrs. Giegg wore orchid cor
sages. Wearing whiie, dlmunltve Ruby
Duval, and Ronnie Burgess, were
ring bearers.
Jack Gilfillan was best man.
Barney O'Douehertv. Richard
! Maudlin and Robert Sutton, all of
Bend, and Carlos Houk of Salem,
were ushers.
At the reception which followed
at the Blue room of the Pilot
Butte Inn, the five-tierer wedding
cake was decorated with an orna
ment which chimed, "Here Comes
the Bride," as the bride and bride
groom cut it. Aunts of the bride.
groom, Mrs. Clifford Wright and
Mrs. Kennetn uraoer, served.
Mrs. Harold Allen, aunt of the
bride, poured. Kenneth Graber,
uncle of the groom, served the
punch, and Mrs. Dell Shaw, a cou
sin of the bride, had charge of
the guest book.
Out-of-town relatives included
Mrs. Ted Smith and Phil Smith,
Heppner, Ore ; Miss Evelyn Stev-
enson, waukegan, ill.; Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Stevenson. Salem;
Mr. and. MrS. Clifford Wright and
BobLy, Marysville, Calif., and Mr. ,
and Mrs. Kenneth Graber, Salem. !
For going away, Mrs. Gregg
ciose a blue gabardine suit with
pink and gray accessories. The
couple will honeymoon at Oregon
beaches, and after July M, will
be at home at 880 Riverside.
Group 4, WSCS
Meets Monday
Group IV, Women's Society of
Christian Service of the Metho
dist church, will meet Monday at
8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Mar
lon Poor, 514 Harriman street.
Mrs. William Day is co-hostess,
Mrs. Randall Moore is iu charge
of lessons.
