A White House source said the elder statesman was "pretty bad ly informed." No overall plan ever has reached the White House for presidential action, the informant said. Baruch, adviser to many presi dents, stuck by his guns. "I stand on my statement," Baruch said in New York. "It is correct." .The disputed plan is one which Baruch said was drawn up by Arthur M. Hill when he was chair man of the national security re sources board, baruch said the plan, among other things, would provide for giving the president, in event of another war, virtual ly all the wartime powers he had, including control over such things as materials, rents, and prices. He said the plan was approved by the seven cabinet members on the resources board, but was re jected by the president. The White House sources said no such plan ever had been presented to tne Doara, ana the president there fore could not have rejected it. Wheat Support Price Announced Washington, June 30 IPi The government disclosed Wednesday it will support the price of this year's wheat crop at $1.96 a bush el, on a national average farm basis. The support price compares with $2 a bushel for the 1948 wheat crop. The agricultural department, in its mid-monthly report on farm prices, said the average price of wheat received by farmers on June 15 was $1.86 a bushel. The parity price was $2.17 a bushel at that time. The department is required by law to support the price of wheat at 90 per cent of the June parity. That is $1.96. Support prices for wheat at var ious markets throughout the country will be announced by the department at a later date. Some of these will vary slightly from the national average price the government plans to guarantee producers for the 1919 wheat crop.
