Pool Expenses
$1500 Monthly
Approximately $1,500 per month
is estimated today by W. O. Cuth

hope much of this amount will
be offset by income from sale of
swim tickets, check-room fees,
and rental of towels and suits.
The $1,500 includes $875 in sal
aries now paid pool personnel,
and costs of electricity in light
ing, heating, and filtering. The
sum of $500 was tenatively set
as this cost by the city manager.
With thg opening of the wad
ing pool, iwo new aueuuums win
be needed; one to watch the shal
low pool for toddlers, and one for
relief of other attendants who,
as minors, can work only an
eight-hour day for a six-day
week.

rector, follow:

Oil Overflows
Onto Bend Street
The east side of Wall street
between Franklin and Louisiana
was blocked to parking this aft
ernoon after W. P. Drost, super
intendent of streets, requested
the Associated Oil Co., to remove
oil that had overflowed this morn
inn from a tank at the Wall Street

the type used in automatic burn
ers, ran irom tne station into ine
gutter, and remained in jelly-like
masses that were picked up by
car wheels. Damage to pavement
was feared by city officials.
The overflow occurred wnen an
undeground tank was being filled,
and a defective measuring stick
was blamed. AboutflO gallons ot
oil overflowed on the station
pavement and coursed into the
putter. Firemen were called, in
the effort to remove the sticky
