Miss Davis, who was in sixth place in the Miss America contest at Atlantic City last September as Oregon's representatives In the event, has completed a year's training in voice at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music on the $1000 scholarship which she won at Atlantic City. She plans to make music her career. Fifteen of Oregon's most attractive and talented young women will be in Seaside for the battle of pulchritude which will end with the crowning, by Miss Davis, of the new Miss Oregon. Each will represent an Oregon community and each will have a chance to win the coveted trip to Atlantic City and the Miss America contest. GleasonShaw Vows Are Said In Med ford Mr. and Mrs. Royal Gleason, who were married May 6 in Med ford, have returned from a wed ding trip and are at home In Bend, at 328 East Kearney. The bride, the former Janet Shaw, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shaw, of Medford. Gleason, who is manager of the local Western Auto Supply store, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gleaspn, The wedding was performed at Vie Girls' Community club in Medford, with Rev. J. D. McDan iel officiating. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a soft pink dress maker suit with white accessories. She carried a colonial style bou quet of red rosebuds centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Dean Eppinger, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a grey suit with pink accessories and carried a colonial style bouquet of red rosebuds. Alfred Gleason was best man for his brother, and Jimmie and Vernon Gleason ushered. Miss Eleanor Hoover, cousin of the bridegroom, was soloist. Miss Velma Brock played the wedding music. A reception was held after the wedding, with about 65 relatives and friends of the couple attend ing.
