overshadowed by the develop
ments abroad. Even new reports
of a possible Russian move to
lift the Berlin blockade, failed to -stem
the selling movement
Activity centered on Common
wealth & Southern corporation,
which opened the day on a 25,000
share block and had turnover for '
the day in the neighborhood of
100,000 shares, all sales being
made at 3, unchanged from
Wednesday's close. 1
The day's break carried the
Dow - Jones industrial average
back to the level of March 4 and
volume was the heaviest for any
