Cunningham Wed Recently In the East Aii eastern wedding of inter est locally was solemnized re cently in Manchester, N. H., when liobert L. Cunningham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Cunning ham, of 441 Florida, iiend. took as his bride, Miss Phyllis K. Swenson, RN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard F. Swenson, of Manchester. Rev. Lynn Leavenworth per formed the double-ring ceremony Saturday evening, March 5, at the Merrimack street Baptist church In Manchester, in a set ting of potted - palms, ferns and bouquets of white mixed flowers. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attractive in a white satin colonial gown fashioned with hoop skirt and short train. Her finger tip length veil was draped from a crown iof seed pearls and she carried 4u cascade arrangement of white carnations and gardenias. Mrs. Joseph Reed, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, In a pink taffeta colonial gow.n, and Miss Barbara Stahl, of Bos ton, and Miss Patricia Thayer, of Somerville, Mass., classmates of the bride in training school were bridesmaids. Both wore blue taffeta colonial gowns, and all attendants carried colonial bouquets. Joseph Reed, brothor-in-law of the bride, acted as best man. Following the ceremony, a re ception for 150 guests was held in the vestry. Afterward, the bridal couple left on a honey moon trip. They will make their home in Lakeland, where the bridegroom will further his stud- i ies at Florida Southern college, majoring in citrus, fruit research. I Cunningham is a graduate of Bend high school, and later serv I ed as lookout fireman for the Deschutes national forest. Before entering college, he served for I three years with the U. S. air j forces in Tampa, Fla. J The bride is a graduate of Ce.n I tral High school, in Manchester, 5 and the New England Baptist 5 hospital in Boston, jj Lapine Girls Club I Entertains Dads At Clever Party I Lapine, April 2 (Special) The .apine Girls' club entertained at Dads and Daughters party on riday evening, March 25, at the high school. Entertainment in cluded games, a "recitation, "Dad dies," by Coesta Carter, and a song, "That Silver-Haired Daddy I of Mine," sung by Patsy Gholson, $ Bobby Jo Carter and Peggy Ghol- son. Immediately following the din-i ner the Bend auxiliary initiation team- initiated a large class of candidates Into the auxiliary. Fairchild-lrish Wedding Tonight A local wedding of more than casual interest will be solemnized tonight at 8:30 p. m. at Trinity Episcopal church, when Miss De lores Irish and James Fairchild areunited in marriage. The bride elect is the daughter of Mrs. Sal ly Irish, of El Cerrito, Calif., and Fairchild is the son of Mrs. F. T. Fairchild, of Bend, and the late Mr. Fairchild. Miss Irish, who is office nurse for Dr. W. O. Courter, completed her nurses' training at Good Sa maritan hospital, in Portland. She is a graduate of University high school, Eugene. Fairchild was graduated from Bend high school and attended Oregon State college. He is an air corps veteran.
