Miss Grace Mary Linn directed. The Bend Gleemen quartet, composed of Randall Craig, Bob Hocker, Gale Sigmund and Bill Taber, entertained with a group of negro spirituals and a novelty encore number. ' An unusual film, presenting songs by Dorothy Maynor and a 12-voice glee club, concluded the program. The film, publicizing the need for chest X-rays, was provided by the Tuberculosis and Health association. MEETING POSTPONED The meeting of Bend Camp Fire guardians and sponsors will be held Thursday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m.. in the Red Cross office, it was an nounced today. The meeting was changed from Wednesday to avoid conflict with the Angel Reyes violin concert. A training course for all lead ers and prospective leaders in Camp Fire work will be held Sat urday, Feb. 20, at the John Tuck school in Redmond. Cuban to Play Wednesday at Local Theater Angel Reyes, Cuban violinist, will be presented in concert Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 8:30 p. m. in the Tower theater. The con cert is the second in the current series, sponsored by the Bend Community concert association. Reyes began his musical career at a very early age, and at 12, made his first public appearance. Shortly afterward he won first prize, against professionals of nurture years, in a competition sponsored by the Havana Phil harmonic orchestra, later he studied in Paris, and afler only nine months of study at the French Conservatory as a pupil of the eminent teacher Flrmin Touche, he won second prize in violin and theory. He was grad uated three years later with first prize in violin and first medal In solfege and theory. In the war years, Reyes com pleted a 25.000-milc concert tour of Germany and Austria under auspices of U. S. O. camp shows. He has appeared as soloist with a number of top-ranking sym phonies, and has toured exten sively since his dramatic New York debut in 1941 at Carnegie hall. .
