Feb. 10 iU' Stocks dropped 1 to 4 points in light trad ing today, wiped out yesterday's advance, and set a new low mark since Nov. 30, the post-election low. This drop, coming on top of a substantial recovery yesterday, reflected President Truman's re newed request for a $4,000,000,000 tax rise and wage-price controls, brokers said. Railroad issues were hard hit and their drop paralleled another poor car loading report. Indus trial issues had several wide loss es. Utilities behaved better than other departments. Farnsworth continued the active feature and it broke to a new low on disap pointment over the terms of an International Telephone offer to buy the company on the basis of about 77 cents a share for Farns worth stock. Commodities resumed their technical recovery with the excep tion of cotton. Railroad issues turned -down and unsettled the bond market. PORTLAND PRODL'CE Portland.
