Four Initiated Rebekahs Last Friday At the close of the regular Re bekah lodge meriting Friday eve ning, refreshments were served to 85 people. The tables were beauti fully decorated with pine boughs and cones, and red and green crepe paper streamers. Initiation was held for Mrs. Ella Nelson, of Bend, and for Kenneth Short, F. M. Henderson and C. W. Mehlenbeck, of Sisters. Members of the Sisters and Redmond lodg es made a joint visitation, and two guests were also present from Madras. Announcement was made of several coming ' events. The Christmas party, for all Re bekahs, Odd Fellows, Theta Rho girls and their families, will be Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the lodge hall. The Sahalee club, whose mem bers engage In serious study of current affairs, several years ago raised a fund for the purchase of a square of property just east of the business district. They have planted trees and developed the plot into an attractive city park.
