Bridal Couple At Home Here Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dale Sto- raasli have returned from a hon eymoon trip to Portland, and are at home at 25 Louisiana avenue. They were married Friday morn ing, Dec. 3, at a 9 o'clock cere mony at Trinity Lutheran church The bride, the former Phyllis Robinson, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Robinson, of 153 Lafayette. She was graduated from Bend high school, and Is em ployed as a telephone operator. Storaasli, who is a graduate of Crook county high school In Prineville, is also a telephone company employe. He is the son of Mrs. Norma Freudenthal and Oscar Storaasli, both of Prine ville. For the wedding, the bride wore a grey dress with matching acces sories, and a red rosebud corsage. Her only attendant was Miss Ro ma McComb, who wore a green two-piece dress. Her corsage was of yellow rosebuds. John R. Miller acted as best man at the double-ring ceremony. Rev. Vincent S. Larson officiated. Episcopal Guild Ends Year Wifh Christmas Party ., Trinity Episcopal guild finished a successful year with a Christ mas party Tuesday afternoon at the parish hall. The affair fea tured a gift exchange and a tea hour, following a business meet ing at which new officers were elected. Mrs. J. K. B o c k I u s, Mrs. George Blinn and Mrs. S. M. Sor enson were named as presiding executives. Mrs. Philip F. Brogan is treaurer, Mrs; George A. Silk worth, recording secretary, and Mrs. R. T. Forrest, corresponding secretary. The slate of officers was presented by the nominating committee and accepted as sub mitted. Other business at the meeting Included plans for Christmas bas kets for shut-ins ' and gifts for residents at the Cottage hospital. Hector Extends Congratulations Rev. G. R. Vi Bolster addressed the gathering briefly before the close of the meeting. In express ing Christmas and New Year's greetings, he congratulated the guild on past efforts and wished the group every success in the coming year. He stressed that the success of their work is depend ent upon the loyalty and faithful ness of the Individual members, rind urged those present to put' "first things first, ' not allowing social events and other triviali ties to obscure their obligations to their organization and its work for the church. Before the tea hour, the women joined in singing Christmas car ols, and participated In a gift ex change. Mrs. Don Denning read an appropriate Christmas story. Refreshments were served from a beautifully decorated tea table. The centerpiece was a home-made gingerbread house. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Soron son, Mrs. Denning and Mrs. Don Pritchett. Christmas Party Planned Madras Garden Club Madras. Dec. 9 (Special) The Madias Garden club is busy with elaborate plans for the group's first annual Christinas party, at which husbands of Ihe members will be special guests. The affair will he held Wednesday evening, Dec. 15, at the Madias community trail. Decorations for the party will feature native greenery. Juniper and pine boughs, It was derided at a recent meeting at the home of Mrs. Evan W. Thomas. I'MT TO KX( IIANGK GIFTS The Alfalfa home extension unit will meet December 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the homo of Mrs. Lester Wick, it was announced. The project at this meeting will be "Spotting and Pressing." Project leaders Zlta Campbell and Nancy Lanzarotta will be In charge. A pot luck luncheon will be served and a Christinas gift exchange is scheduled. Rebekahs to Hold Initiation Friday Initiation for a class of candi dates will be held at the regular meeting of the Rebekah lodge, to. morrow night at the I.O.O.F. hall. It is expected that there will be one candidate from Terrebonne, as well as four from Sisters and one Bend resident. Members of other lodges In the district have been Invited to attend, and Re bekahs who are visiting in Bend were urged to be present. The meeting will start at 8 p.m. Mrs. Ernest Gough Is chairman of the refreshment committee, which also includes Mis. Paul Brookings, Mrs. Maud Bevans, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Leland, Mrs. Arminta Cole, R. E. Burleigh and Mrs. A. B. Burleigh. Final degree practice will be held tonight at 7:45 p.m. Mrs. Fred Gibson, degree captain, urg ed all members who will partici pate in the initiation to be pres ent. Patriotic Club Has Election Mrs. Ethel Q. Wilson, of Bend, was elected president of the Cen tral Oregon chanter. Gold Star Mothers, at a meeting held yester- day at the home of Mrs. H. L. Halsey. in Prineville. Other offi cers named are: Mrs. Frank Mc Donald, Redmond, first vice nresi' dent; Mrs. I. T. Powell, Bend, sec ond vice president: Mrs. Bcrnicce Towner, Bend, secretary-treasurer, and Mrs. Earl G. Gregg, Bend, chaplain. Appointive officers will be announced later. Ten members were present for the meeting, which was followed by a gift exchange. Mrs. T. L. Quinn, of Prineville, assisted the hostess in the serving of refreshments. Officers will be installed Janu ary 12, with meeting place to be announced later. Mrs. E. Graham Leaving Saturday Mrs. Elmer Graham, who plans to leave Saturday to join her hus band at Fort Lewis, where he is stationed, was honored by mem bers of the B.D.W. club at a hand- kerchief shower last week. The shower was held in connection with the regular club meeting, for which Mrs. Del Hlnsnaw was hostess at her home on Cooley road. Graham was called back into the service about a month ago, with the rank of second lieu-tenant. Members present at the meet ing included Mrs. TanK cnap- man, Mrs. Stanley Chapman, Mrs Ralnh Dye. Mrs. Bill Dart, Mrs Harry Monical, Mrs. Lee Maker, Mrs. Leon ahupe, Mrs. Lee btll well, Mrs. Bob Shepflin, Mrs. Cliff Meyers, Mrs. Bob Wilson, Mrs. Ted Hinshaw, Mrs. Graham and, the hostess. Mrs. Ray Gumpert was a guest. The next meeting will be the annual Christmas party, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Ted Hinshaw, in Carroll Acres. Mrs. Frank Burr presided in the ab sence of Mrs. J. F. Daggett, pres ident. Baker-Larson Vows Said At Recent Civil Ceremony Mr. and Mrs. George E. Baker are at home In Gilchrist. The bride, the former Donna Larson, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard F. Larson, of Long Beach, Calif. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Baker, of Couch, Mo. The couple said their vows at a civil ceremony November 29 at the courthouse In Bend, with Wil son George, justice of the peace, officiating.
