OUT OUR WAY W POM'T MIMPTHE NUTS Stocks Record Fractional Gains New York, Nov. 16 U' Stocks added fractions to their average gain of the previous session in quiet trading today. There were a tew sott spots, notably a group of preferred shares which had wide losses. Steel stocks slipped a bit lower and realizing sales caused seve ral other issues to slip back from yesterday's closing levels. Wall street experts noted some return of confidence in the mar ket, although admitting that cau tion was still the watchword. Noting that the market has re covered only a little more than 3 points of its loss since election, Dow-Jones said "the burden of proof continues on the bulls." Favorable dividend actions and earnings reports again proved a sustaining factor for the stock list. Another item reflecting Im provement was a $2,000 rise in the price of a stock exchange membership which sold at $52, 000. ACCIDENT PAYS OFF Amsterdam, N. Y. (Ill Clar ence Green of this city had been trying to locale a cousin for many years. Recently, he was injured in a quarry accident five miles east of here. Sheriff William Green investigated.
