Betty Lea Calder, daughter of

ning at the 'true l.ospel church,
The newlyweds have returned
from a short wedding trip, and
are at home at 424 East Kearney.
The vows were exchanged at 7
n.m., with Rev. Harriett E. Mar-
linn officiating. Candelabra and
baskets of pink and white chry
santhemums uecoratea the chan
cel.
Mrs. Charles Ross played the
wedding marches and accompan
ied the vocalists. Frederick Ross
sane "Always" as a solo num
ber. Duets were "Hand in Hand,"
by Miss Patricia Hagan, ol Prine
ville. and Ross, und "I Love You
Truly," by Miss Hagan and Miss
Lois Stewart.
Attendant Named
Mrs. Jarnes Rasmussen, sister
of the bride, was matron of hon
or. Miss Leta Zufelt was brides
maid, Vicki Lee Rasmussen, the
bride's 3-year-old niece, was flow
er girl. She was dressed In white
and scattered rose petals which
she carried in a small basket.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. She wore a
light grey suit, with pink acces
sories. Her hat was trimmed with
pink feathei-s. She carried a white
Bible, wiin a spray 01 pinK carna
tions. The attendants wore suits. Mrs.
Rasmussen was in navy blue, and
Miss Zufelt was in grey. Both
wore corsages of pink carnations.
James Rasmussen acted as best
man. Ushers were Oscar and Carl
Wyatt, brothers of the bride
groom. , Reception Held
After the ceremony a reception
was held in the church parlors.
Mrs. Ed Wilson cut the wedding
cake, and Mrs. Ernest Reid, Mrs.
Otis Garrett and Mrs. George
DuBois assisted with the serving.
Out-of-town guests, at the wed
ding and reception Included Mr.
and Mrs. Edward D. Wilson and
family, of West wood, Calif.; Wil
liam Hoyt, of Redding, and El
mer Hoyt, of Fairfax, uncles of
the bridegroom, and Mrs. M. J.
White, of Chico, the bridegroom's
grandmother.
The bride, who attended Bend
high school, is employed at the
Newberry store. Wyatt was grad
uated from Bend high school and
is employed by the S.P. & S. rail
road. He is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl A. Wyatt, of 1550 Elgin.

In Hobby Show
Application blanks are avail
able at the Deschutes county pub
lic library for exhibitors who
wish to enter the hobby and hand
craft show to be held Sunday,
December 5. The announcement
was made today by officers of
the Bend branch of the American
Association of University Wom
en, who are sponsoring the affair.
The show will be held in the
library auditorium, with the
doors to be open from 1 to 9 p.m.
The public is invited to partici
pate, both by entering exhibits
and viewing the show. Paintings,
woodworking, ceramics, textiles,
model planes and trains, stamp
and doll collections and other hob
bies will be shown.
Entry blanks must be turned
in by November 24. it was an
nounced. They should be filled in
and submitted either to Miss
Eleanor Brown, at the library, or
mailed to Mrs. C. E. Stranahan,
720 South Fifth street.
Three judges will select win
ners in three age groups. There
'Avill be a section for children up
to 12. another for young people
between the ages of 12 and 18,
and another for adults. Ribbons
hill be awarded winners in the
two youncer erourjs.

at the home of the bride's- par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert W.
Bartlett. The bride is the former
Adelva Bartlett. Dletz is the son
of Mr. and Mrs, Clifford F. Dietz,

Friday Evening
Mrs. D. R. Williams, who plans
to leave Bend soon, was honored
by members of the ladies' auxil
iary of Jay H. Upton post,
U.S.W.V., at a regular meeting
Friday evening in the courthouse
assembly room. She was present
ed a farewell gift. Mr. and Mrs.
Williams are moving to Euphra
ta, Wash., near Grand Coulee
dam. Williams, who is -an engi
neer with the U.S. bureau of rec
lamation, is being transferred
from the local office.
Nomination of new officers
was a highlight of the business
meeting. The following were

Local Pianist to
Present Recital
Marian Sill Philp, Bend pianist
who will be presented in concert
at 8 p. m. Monday, November 15,
at the Allen school auditorium,
will include in her repertoire her
own original "Theme and Varia
tions," it was announced today
by sponsors of the recital.
Also on the program will be
three selections by Chopin, and
numbers by Bach-Tauslg, Bee
thoven, Prokofieff, Debussy' and
Griffes.
The Come-Double club and
Westminster fellowship of the
First Presbyterian church are
sponsoring the concert, with Mr.
and Mrs. Russell Acheson as gen
eral chairmen. Tickets may be
obtained from members of either
group, and at the Bend Drug
store.
