Wyoming Eleven Shows Power Denver, Oct. 14 U One small voice piped up from a land of football mediocrity today, and the University of Wyoming hopes that voice might eventually be come a roar. There have been no gridiron giants in the Rocky mountain area in the past decade, but to day Wyoming has the makings of a team. Head coach Bowden Wyatt, who came to Wyoming last sea son after service at Tennessee and Mississippi State, is largely responsible for an offense which has every team in the region worried. Wyatt brought with him something he calls the "Tennes-see-T," although it looks remark ably like a regulation single wing back formation. Whatever it is, that offense has kept the Cowpokes undefeated in three games while running up scores of 40-13 over Idaho State, 48 0 over Colorado State and 61-7 over Colorado college. The Cowpokes stand near the top of the nation's college teams on total offense and are out in front on rushing offense. In three games they have' gained 1,509 yards, and only 415 of those yards have been through the air. Red Wings Beat Chicago Icemen Uy United Presn) Baseball's world series only ended on Monday, but today the National Hockey league's season was under way full blast with the first game already written into the record books.
