Cal., early July 25. Mrs. Pirkle was with Walker at the time of the shooting, authorities alleged. Walker, after beintr Indicted on a first degree murder charge, was acquitted by a circuit court Jury on a reduced charge of second aegree murder. . Body Found Pirkle's body was dumped in the north canal of the Owyhee canal syphon intake southwest of Nyssa. The skull was shattered by a gun shot. Sheriff Glenn, be fore the trial, said Walker admit ted shooting Pirkle with a 30-30 rifle, but that he did it in self defense. Pirkle's car was found burning at the Vale city dump more than three weeks after the body was found. , Hughe$ Returns From Meeting Everett E. S. public roads administration will open bids here Oct. 28 for completion of the Warm Springs highway, opening a route from Portland to central and eastern Oregon, it was announced today by w, m.
