Dead in His Car

A soldier from Birmingham) Ala.,
thought to have been an amnesia
victim after his disappearance
from his duty post Sept. 20, was
found dead in his car on a remote
road of the military reservation
last night.
MSgt. Edward Bruce, 30, son
of Mr. and Mrs. John Gordon
Bruce, Birmingham, Ala., was
found by two youths who had
been gathering pine cones in the
area.
Medical officers said Bruce had
died of carbon-monoxide poison
ing. A hose ran from the exhaust
pipe through a window of the
car.
