Eagles Planning Party for Youth At Skating Rink All Central Oregon youngsters are invited to attend a free skat ing party Monday evening, July 19, at the Civic Roller rink, with the Bend lodge of Eagles as hosts. Plans for the parly are being made by a committee headed by Louis Wavelet, youth guidance chairman, who said that the lodge is making arrangements for a series of similar affairs. Doors will open at 8 p. m., it was announced. Leonard Smith has donated use of the rink for the party, and the lodge will fur nish the skates. Sherman Dearth, Instructor, will be on hand to give free instructions to begin ners, Wavelet said, . Marshall, former resi- aent or uena, has died at Plain neia, wis., at the age of 82. He was born at Blackriver Falls, Wis., on Jan. 31, 1866. He worked at Mannheimer's in Bend for many years. He was a member of the Bend chapter of the Benev olent and Protective Order of Elks and still retained his mem bership in the local lodge. The news of Mr. Marshall's death was received here from his son, J. H. Marshall, Los Angeles, Calif. Girl Thrown To Her Death Cincinnati, O., July 17 UPi A girl believed to be about six or seven years of age was thrown 125 feet to her death from a viaduct here today. Police said a 33-year-old ex con vict from Richmond, Va., had ad mitted seizing the girl as she walked across the viaduct. Police said the man, who gave his name as Henry Robertson, would give no reason for his ac tion. Robertson, police said, had served a three year term for burglary in a prison at Rich mond.
