the local women's union, is in

Miss Allen, the missionary
speaker, who was in Japan prior
to me war and during the earth
quake of 1933, wag instrumental
in helping to organize a Chris-
tian relief committee. Miss Allen
sailed for Japan In 1915 and after
studying Japanese in Tokyo, was
sent to teach in Sendai girls' high
school and college. She later did
evangelistic work In the Morlbka
area In northern Japan.
