shot and killed early today in a
fight with bandits who held up a
Brooklyn bar and grill. .
Police said the lour bandits es
caped after the shooting. They
were reported to have held up
seven taverns between 1:30 and
4:30 a.m.
Davis, whose real name as Al
Davidorf, attempted to stop the
men as they left the tavern to
get Into their car, police said. He
was shot In the chest and died
before he could be given medical;
aid. - !
Police said Davis was mowed!
