What W It a Game?
As a newcomer I have noticed a
peculiar practice 'of most of the Bend -
people,
Two or more people will meet on the
street and stop to chat. Almost In
variably after a short time one party or
the other, maybe both, will put their
hands up in front of them, with hands
from eight to 24 inches apart.
Now, f course, I don't stop to
listen, but right after these people spread
their hands apart the animated con
versation seems to slow up and shortly
afterward the two people go on their
way again. The one who has spread his
or her hands the farthest apart seems to
have a very self-satisfied expression.
Oftentimes the other person has an ex
pression of chagrin or disbelief, Now
folks haven't you observed that little
scene for yourself? Personalty I don't be
lieve anyone has caught one that big.
The sign we want you to make is to
reach for your telephone or walk in
when you are in town and let us give
you an estimate on your car repair work
or engine overhaul. Frank says he can
give you prompt attention now that the
back-log of orders is down.
Anyhow come in and play that
hand-spreading game.
