Accused Slayer
Found in Eugene
Washington, March 30 (IP) The
Justice department announced to
dav that FBI aerents have arrest
ed Randel Throneberry, 27-year-old
accused murderer, at Eugene,
Ore.
Throneberry is wanted for the
trangulation slaying of a sheep
herder at Steamboat Springs,
Colo, on Aug. 8, 1943, the justice
department said.
Portland, Ore., March 30 IP
Special FBI agent Joseph Thorn
ton today announced that Randel
Throneberry, 28, murder suspect
wanted in Hayden, Colo., was ar
rested yesterday afternoon near
Eugene by the FBI.,
He had been working on a farm
outside of Eugene since Feb. 6.
Thornton said he would be
brought to Portland for removal
to Denver.
His brother, also a suspect, is
held in custody In Colorado.
Throneberry was picked up on
violation of selective service
charge, which led to his connec
tion with the murder case.

Dies in Action
Altadena, Cal., March 30 (IP)
Pfc. Ira A. Dollar, 19, grandson of
the late Capt. Robert Dollar,
founder of the Dollar Steamship
lines, was killed In action in
France March 13, the war depart
ment today notified his mother,
Mrs. A. Melville Dollar.
The youth trained at Camp
Roberts and Ft. Bennlng, Georgia,
before going overseas1 in January
with an infantry regiment. A
brother, Lt. A. Melville Dollar,
Jr., Is in the navy.

followed by stations of the cross
this afternoon, starting at 2:30
o'clock. There will be stations of
the cross and sermon at the Cath
olic church tonight at 7:30.

Words." and climaxed noonday
services held earlier in the week
at the Capitol theater under the
direction of the ministerial asso
ciation.
Special services are being ar
ranged for Sunday by practically

Air Fighter Dies

A telegram from the war de
partment received yesterday by
Mrs. M. A. Qulnn of Bend report
ed that her brother, Vernon Greer,
was killed In action March 22
while fighting with the army air
corps over Crak island In the
south Pacific.
Greer, who had served overseas
approximately nine months, was
resident oi New Mexico.
