A total of over 30 will be admitted Into congrega tional membership by either con firmation,' baptism, or transfer. Music will be provided by the church's high school choir, a Pnneville organist, and Miss Bev erley Wennerstrom. The choir, under the direction of C. J. Llndh, will render "Ride on In Majesty." Everett Hopkins, who often plays over the Prineville hour on KBND is to offer as a prelude Sir Arthur S. Sullivan's "The Long Day Closes;" for offertory, Felix Men-delssohn-Bartholdy's "Nocturne"; and for recesional, Antonin Dvor ak's "Hymn of Love." Miss Wen nerstrom has consented to sing "The Holy City," accompanied by Hopkins. The newly furnished auditor! um will be decorated with many flowers. Mrs. Anna Amoth and Mrs. Fritz Lundgren are provid ing a basket of calla lillies and Miss Christine Ziegler a bouquet of spring flowers. With a combat engineer battal ion of the Seventh infantry divi sion, Pvt. Glltner landed in the Philippines in the first day of the invasion. Later he was assigned to work in a saw mill built by the engineers in heavily forested mountain country. The fundamen tals of the milling were the same, but, says Pvt. Giltner "I never had to take time out from my mill work in Bend to shoot two Japs." He encountered the infiltrating Japs while on a patrol In the mountainous regions of Leyte. The mill shut down only long enough to dispose of the enemy. Pvt. Glltner wears the newly authorized Philippine liberation medal with two stars. His wife resides at 28 Allen road, Bend. . Counties Appoint Welfare Officer Madras, March 23 (Special) Miss Dorothy Sanders nas been appointed administrator of Jeffer son and Crook counties welfare work. Miss Sanders was a case worker in Clatsop county for two and a half years before accepting her present position. Mrs. William Hyslop was tem porary administrator for several months, taking the place of Mrs. Max Millsap (Lillian Turner) who resigned the first of the year fol lowing her marriage.
