Other rails were narrowly mixed
in dull turnover.

Near closing time, Eastern Air

the first preferred up more tnan

BOSTON WOOL
Boston, March 17 (IP) Both do
mestic and foreign wools moved
slowly this week In the local wool
market, the war food administra
tion said today in its weekly wool
review.
Lots averaged 10,000 pounds
and considerable interest was
shown In the early shearing of
the 1945 clip. Shearing is now
fairly well along In Arizona, New
Mexico, Texas, and Idaho and to
a lesser extent in the fleece wool
states of Missouri and Oh'o. ,
Activity in foreign wools con
tinued limited by the lack of of
ferings of lots with nearby deliv
ery dates. Practically all arrivals
were sold either at or previous to
shipping time. Shipments from
South America were about two
and a half months after purchase
dates.
Railway freight rates in Canada
per unit of service are the lowest
of any in the world.
