Clauile Conk's Cubs here last
night, feinted In a slow start, then
spurted ahead to win from the
Cubs 5S to 30. The mid-week game
was a practice affair for each of
the trams, and the ctiaches took
opiHirtunity of trying out practic
ally their entire miliaria. Karller
in the season. It will be recalled,
the l-apine varsity defeated Bend's
varsity In a hard - fought, close
game.
In the preliminary contest last
night, the Bend Junior high team :

si-rvcs :h to 25 In the thriller of
the evening. Ability to convert I
free throws was largely resxinsi-1
hie for the Junlur high victory.
Two of the Lupine reserves were
benched on pcronuls. and the Jun

the live shots to add to the lti'
points amassed through field
goals. Haupt, Perry, lialvln, Fer

Junior high team, and Kachuy.
Mlltenburger, Posey, K. Carpenter
and Sumpter were in the Lapine
reserve sturling lineup.
In the main event of the eve-!
ning, the Uiplne varsity started in ,
slow motion, probably to fool the;
Bend defense, then quickly shift
ed into. high gear to roll up a half
time score of 35 to 10. In the sec- j
