Young: People to Hold
Suttlc Lake Conference
The young people's conference of
Westminster Presbyterian church
will be held at Suttle lake from July
24 to 28, Inclusive. About 53 young
people, including some from Berkeley
and beatUa in addition to those from
Bend, are expected to attend.
The morning hours will be devoted
to classes, with the exception of an
early morning swim, ana the after
noons to recreation, including hiking,
soltball, swimming and boating. A

and Mra. Leonard S. Pitcher of Se
attle, the Rev. Robert K. Churchill of
Berkeley, the Rev. E. A. Kohfield of
LBcnd, who is soon to return to his

Rev. Alexander Mersdorf, missionary
in Haiti, Robert E. Nicholas Jr. of
River Forest, III., and tne Rev. Glenn
R. Coie who wiH be in charge of Ihe
conference. Mra. Pitcher, a regis
tered nurse, will be the conference
nurse. Nicholas, who was a graduate
assistant at Westminster theological
seminary in Philadelphia during ihe
post year and who aupplled the pul
pit of Westminster church last year, is
to serve) here again during the pas
tor's vacation in . August Both
Nicholas, and the Rev. Mersdorf who
is visiting with his mother In Eugene,
are expected to arrive in Bend to
morrow night and will be guests over
the week-end in the home of the
Rev. Glenn Cole.
The Rev. Mersdorf will speak at
both morning and evening services
at Westminster church on Sunday.
In the evening he will ahow moving
pictures of his work In Cuba and
Haiti.
On Wednesday night at thj confer
ence grounds the Bend congregation
will join with tho young people in a
special service which will tukc the
place of the rogural mid-week nerv
ier in Bend.
